Dean Moberg
I currently serve as an at-large director and treasurer for the Tualatin Soil and Water Conservation District (TSWCD). Prior to my election to the TSWCD board, I worked for the USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in northern Michigan, central Wisconsin, Pendleton, and northwest Oregon. I currently also serve on the board of the Cedar Mill Farmers Market and run a small consulting company (Gash Gold Vermilion, LLC). In these capacities, I have worked closely with conservation districts in several states and multiple Oregon counties, and have worked with farmers, foresters, ranchers, and public and private organizations to help implement voluntary conservation projects.
My goal in serving on the OACD board is to advance the mission of voluntary conservation on private lands, to improve collaboration and communication with our partners, and to recognize in OACD decisions that there is significant diversity between SWCD boards regarding funding levels and local priorities.
