In the News – “Modern tidegates open waters to fish, farmers”
A recent article in the Capital Press profiled the benefits of tidegate improvements in the Coquille watershed, with an emphasis on muted tidal regulators. While tidegate modernization projects can bring significant benefits to ecosystems and farms by improving drainage and fish passage, “the expense is more than most farmers can afford.”
Oregon Association of Conservation Districts is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
