Karin has been District Manager for 7 years and member of the Luckiamute Watershed Council board for 8 years.

She is the Chair of the Polk Extension Citizens Advisory Network (PECAN) and a member of the Salt Creek Collaborative for 4 years.

Polk SWCD  is also a participant OSU Water Resources Department WSARE grant water quality quantity studies in Salt Creek

Together with partners, wrote and was awarded an NRCS Regional Conservation Partnership Program award (2021-2026) for $2,500,000 to improve and  restore over 700 acres of privately held oak woodlands and upland prairie in Polk County. Our partners include: The Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde, NRCS, The Institute for Applied Ecology, and the US Fish and Wildlife Service.

She lives on a 114 acre ranch in the Luckiamute Watershed with husband and raise beef cattle, hay, and a dog!
